We manage office IT relocations, weekend change windows, and data centre shutdowns for UK organisations. From site surveys and rack-level asset tagging to tamper-evident packing and audit-ready reporting, we protect data, compliance, and operational continuity from first handover to final certificate.

Planned within agreed change windows — including out-of-hours and weekends. RAMS and site access coordination completed before engineers arrive on site.
Retiring legacy hardware during a refresh? Certified data destruction and serialised certificates are handled as part of the same decommissioning job — no separate supplier needed.
Full rack clearance, cable removal, and GPS-tracked tamper-evident transport. Documented audit trail from rack handover to final destruction certificate.
Securely remove redundant or unused IT assets from server rooms with full inventory and documentation.
We follow a structured, secure workflow to remove and prepare your IT equipment for safe, compliant transport.
Site visit or remote assessment to scope the project and plan for minimal disruption.
Safe removal of servers, desktops, networking gear, and peripherals by trained specialists.
Complete rack emptying, cable removal, and site tidy-up to prepare for next use or disposal.
Optional photographic and written log of all removed assets for compliance and auditing.
Protective, tamper-evident packaging ready for licensed transport and processing.
Every project is run under strict access controls. Our engineers are trained for live environments and handle server room clearance and heavy-lift logistics without disrupting nearby operations.
The decommissioning work is only one part of the job. Enterprise teams usually need documented handover, serialised tracking, and compliance evidence that stands up to audit after the hardware has left site.
Before Collection
Scope notes, RAMS, site access planning, and change-window coordination for facilities and IT teams.
At Handover
Tagged asset logs, photographic records where required, and documented transfer into licensed transport.
After Processing
Certificates of destruction or sanitisation, WEEE paperwork, and reporting suitable for audit packs and internal sign-off.
"We cleared a redundant floor of networking gear and 250 workstations over a single weekend. All data was destroyed off-site within 24 hours, and the client received a full WEEE audit trail before Monday morning."
Key details about our IT Decommissioning service.
Scope includes survey and planning, safe hardware disconnection, rack and cable clearance, asset tagging (with optional photographic logging), and secure tamper-evident packing for licensed, GPS-tracked transport.
Work is scheduled around your access windows and operational constraints to minimise disruption. Live systems are never touched without written approval, and engineers follow strict site SOPs throughout.
Yes. Data-bearing media is processed under GDPR and NIST SP 800-88 Rev.2 controls, with serialised Certificates of Destruction or Sanitisation suitable for audit and compliance records.
Data-bearing media are erased or physically destroyed with full certification. Viable assets entering reuse or resale are fully de-branded and factory-reset — labels removed, accounts unlinked, MDM unenrolled, BIOS cleared. Remaining equipment is recycled in compliance with the UK WEEE Regulations 2013 (as amended, including 2025).
Not built for consumer jobs
TFix is a corporate-only ITAD provider. We do not handle household device removals or consumer repair enquiries.
Not ideal for unplanned one-device disposal
If you only need ad hoc destruction of a single device with no project scope, this page is likely more process than you need.
Best when access can be coordinated
This service works best for planned moves, refreshes, and clearance windows where site access, approvals, and documentation matter.
Fixed-scope options that scale from small offices to full data centre clear-downs
Prices exclude VAT. Final pricing depends on scope, access constraints, travel, and out-of-hours requirements.
