We help airlines, MROs, FBOs, flight schools, airport authorities, and aerospace suppliers retire IT securely — from EFB tablets and crew devices to MRO and ground-operations workstations and back-office systems. Serialised chain of custody, certified data destruction, and UK-only processing.

Aviation runs on traceability. So does our process — every asset logged, every drive certified, every movement recorded.
Every device is logged by serial number at your site and tracked through to destruction or recovery. You can reconcile exactly what left and what happened to it — the kind of audit trail aviation teams already expect.
Data-bearing media erased to NIST SP 800-88 Rev.2 or physically shredded, aligned with UK GDPR and current NCSC secure sanitisation guidance. A serialised certificate for every drive and EFB device.
EFB tablets, laptops, and networking hardware with residual value are recovered and you receive a transparent share — often offsetting the cost of the project. See our asset recovery & buyback.
Every asset is logged by serial number, transported under chain of custody by our Environment Agency registered carrier, and processed at our licensed UK facility in Mitcham — never sold on to an untracked offshore broker. TFix is led by Tad Vaas, who holds a Private Pilot Licence with Instrument and Night ratings (PPL/IR/NR). Spending time in the cockpit teaches you to respect checklists, documentation, and traceability — the same discipline we bring to every IT asset we collect, wipe, and recycle.
We are not an avionics maintenance shop, and we make no airworthiness claims. What we offer aviation operators is straightforward: a partner who understands your operating culture and treats your retired IT and data with the rigour the industry runs on.
Tad Vaas Founder, TFix PPL · IR · NRWe lead with paperwork, not promises. Every registration below is independently checkable, and every project is delivered against recognised UK standards.

Standards we work to
We can supply our registrations, insurance certificates, and sample destruction outputs as part of your supplier due diligence.
Fleet-wide EFB refreshes, crew device retirement, and head-office IT disposal with documented data destruction.
Decommissioning of workstations, parts and inventory systems, and shop-floor IT during upgrades or closures.
Discreet, low-volume IT and device disposal for FBOs, charter operators, and private flight departments.
Refresh and recycle training-room IT, simulators' back-office hardware, and student-facing devices responsibly.
Terminal, ramp, and operations IT decommissioning with licensed collection and full WEEE compliance.
Office, design, and lab IT disposal with certified destruction of data-bearing media and audit-ready reporting.
We focus on the IT and data-bearing side of your estate. We do not carry out avionics maintenance or airworthiness work.
MDM unenrolment, account unlinking, and NIST 800-88 erasure of charts, performance data, and crew personal data — then buyback or certified recycling.
Secure handling and data destruction for retired data-bearing line-replaceable units and associated configuration media that have already been removed from service.
Workstations, servers, parts/inventory systems, ramp devices, and networking gear cleared during upgrades, relocations, or site closures.
Laptops, desktops, phones, and storage from head office, operations centres, and administrative functions across aviation sites.
Scope covers data destruction, decommissioning, licensed collection, recycling, and value recovery. It does not include avionics maintenance, certification, or airworthiness services.
Common questions from aviation operators.
Yes. TFix is founder-led by a private pilot, so we understand how aviation operators think about documentation, traceability, and risk. We handle EFB tablets, crew and back-office devices, MRO and ground-operations workstations, and standard corporate IT under serialised chain of custody. We do not perform airworthiness or avionics maintenance.
EFB tablets are unenrolled from MDM, unlinked from operator accounts, and erased to NIST SP 800-88 Rev.2, aligned with UK GDPR and current NCSC secure sanitisation guidance. Charts, performance data, and crew personal data are removed before reuse or resale, with a serialised certificate per device.
All equipment is processed at our licensed UK facility in Mitcham. We do not sell untracked equipment to offshore brokers. Chain of custody is maintained from on-site collection to final destruction or recycling, with a documented audit trail at every stage.
A full audit pack: a serialised asset inventory, Waste Transfer Notes, per-device certificates of data destruction or sanitisation, and an environmental and resale report — designed to satisfy GDPR, WEEE, and internal audit requirements.
