How accurate is the estimate?

Each line is built from TFix published rates, so it matches the live pricing on this site. Final quotes can be higher or lower depending on asset mix, site access, and method requirements.

Does the estimate include recovery value?

Yes, as an indicative figure. The estimator shows a typical rebate based on a 60% share of TFix actual net sale prices, offset against the cost. It is an estimate, not a guarantee — your actual rebate depends on make, model, age and condition, and is confirmed only after testing and grading.

Are my answers stored?

No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is saved or sent to a server.

Do I pay up front?

No. TFix picks up and processes your equipment first, provides the legal compliance paperwork, then calculates the rebate for reusable equipment and offsets it against the costs. If the rebate is more than the cost, you receive the difference; if it is less, you are invoiced the balance.

How are van loads and self-delivery loads calculated?

Collection is estimated from the size of each asset type: a laptop counts as one unit, a desktop about four, and a server about eight; a small van holds roughly 160 units. Self delivery is estimated by weight instead: £150 per load up to 1,000 kg (a 50″ flat-screen TV counts at roughly 22 kg). It is an estimate, and your final quote is confirmed from your actual inventory.
