Environmental Policy

TFix is a professional and environmentally conscious organisation that acknowledges the impact our operations could have on the environment. Our clear objective is to minimise any adverse impact by:
- Preventing pollution, reducing waste, and ensuring that measures are implemented to protect and preserve natural resources and habitats.
- Complying fully with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, UK environmental regulations, and all applicable legal duties.
- Taking action to eliminate or reduce, as far as is practicable, any potentially adverse environmental impacts of our recycling and refurbishment operations.
- Promoting environmental awareness amongst our employees, suppliers, contractors, and partners through training, communication, and the implementation of operational procedures.
- Seeking to work in partnership with the community and our clients by behaving in a considerate, transparent, and socially responsible manner.
- Ensuring effective and expedient control, investigation, and reporting of any environmental incident.

TFix operates under a strict zero-to-landfill policy, ensuring that no electronic equipment or components are sent to landfill. All assets are either refurbished for reuse or recycled through audited, licensed downstream partners holding valid environmental permits. Hazardous components such as batteries, capacitors, and mercury lamps are depolluted and treated through specialist channels. Materials including metals, plastics, PCBs, and glass are separated and recovered for reuse in manufacturing.

Managerial and supervisory staff have defined responsibilities for implementing this policy and are required to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into planning and day-to-day operations. Employees and subcontractors are expected to co-operate and assist in implementing this policy, carrying out their duties without risk to themselves, others, or the environment. This includes adhering to chain-of-custody requirements, handling assets responsibly, and co-operating with management on all environment-related matters.

TFix will take all practical steps to ensure that hazards and risks to the environment are identified and that suitable and effective preventive and control measures are implemented. All staff and contractors will be provided with the necessary resources, equipment, information, and training to fulfil the requirements of this policy.

The company will maintain relevant registrations for the transport, storage, and treatment of WEEE and will issue Waste Transfer Notes, Certificates of Recycling, and ESG reporting to clients for compliance and audit purposes. By maximising reuse and refurbishment, we contribute to CO₂ reduction and support client ESG frameworks, including reporting on devices diverted from landfill, CO₂ savings, and reuse versus recycling rates.

TFix will, as a matter of best practice, also work towards environmental management systems compliant with ISO 14001:2015. The operation of this policy and associated procedures will be monitored and reviewed regularly to ensure they remain current and applicable to our activities.

As part of our commitment to continual improvement, we will set measurable environmental objectives and review them year on year. The company is committed to preventing pollution, ensuring responsible recycling, and improving the effectiveness of our environmental management systems to deliver positive outcomes for our clients, our community, and the wider environment.
