Being a technological marvel as it is, latest foldable drone released by DJI is called Mavic Pro. This time we received one of them with damaged front arms. Customer failed to calibrate IMU before pressing the “Take-Off” button which resulted in drone motors stopping completely while in the air. This straightforward crash was the cause of 2 broken front arms.
Good thing transparent gimbal cover hasn’t been removed before the take-off as it pretty much saved the drone from expensive gimbal replacement. However, we noticed that during crashes when gimbal is left exposed it’s gimbal vibration absorbing board and flex cable that needs to be replaced instead of the whole gimbal.
Being authorised DJI dealer we have access to manufacturer approved repair service procedures, which allows us to evaluate the damage according to DJI specifications. TFix also has a direct access to replacement parts for DJI Mavic Pro, so we keep most of them in-stock. Even if we have to order the parts, they usually arrive within days to our facilities in London.
